Christopher J. Mann
Christopher James Mann was born December 25, 1952 in Palo Alto, California. He graduated from Los Altos High School in 1971 and attended Ricks College in Rexburg as well as Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. In April of 1975, Chris married the former Barbara Synder a Southern California native whom he met while attending college in Rexburg. The Mann family which includes three children, Karyn, Kymberly, and Kyle moved from California back to Rexburg in 1982. Christopher has been employed by BYU-Idaho Food Services since 1983. Since moving to Rexburg Christopher has been involved in various community activities including, elected board member of Rexburg Chamber of Commerce, Whoopie Days Chairman 2006 and 2007. Seven years on Idaho International Dance and Music Festival committee, and chairman for the 20th anniversary year, 2005. He served 5 years Rexburg Traffic and Safety Committee. He was elected to the Rexburg City Council in November 2005, where his assignments include acting as liaison to Museum Board, as well as Parks and Recreation and the Romance theater committee. His oversight assignments include the Police and Public Works Department. As a City Council assignment, he also sits on the Board of Directors of Upper Valley United Way. Christopher enjoys golfing and traveling, but he especially enjoys all his three grandchildren who are being raised in the Rexburg area.
