Rexburg is situated in the midst of natural wonders: from lakes and rivers, might mountain ranges (the Tetons, the Saw Tooth’s), the nation's first National Park (Yellowstone), world class fly fishing, skiing, off road recreation, hunting and camping, and much more!
Rexburg is the gateway to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, which collectively attract over 6.3 million visitors. The majority of those arriving at the park pass through the West Yellowstone entrance (the busiest gate at the Park), the route to the West Gate passes through Rexburg.
Rexburg’s Cultural Scene
In addition to our outdoor adventures, we invite you to enjoy our, golf courses, shopping, historic sites, and year-round events.
A vibrant cultural scene filled with music, dance, activities, and community gatherings characterizes Rexburg’s family-friendly atmosphere. Once a year, Main Street stops to host the Idaho International Summerfest, attracting competitors from across the world.
Each week throughout the summer, citizens and visitors can shop for anything from pottery and produce to corn-on-the-cob to German sausage at the local farmer’s market. Residents also enjoy theatrical and musical performances year round through BUY-Idaho’s Center Stage Performing Arts Series, which has attracted personalities such as Bill Cosby, the King Singers, the Vienna Boy’s Choir, and the Beach Boys. Additionally, the city supports the arts by sponsoring the Rexburg Tabernacle Orchestra and the recent renovation of the historic Romance Theater.
The city also offers a broad scope of competitive sports leagues, and with opening of Rexburg Rapids, Rexburg’s brand new aquatic center, outdoor activities abound. Events such as the Teton Dam Marathon and the Rush Triathlon also attract visitors from across the state and Nation.
Rexburg’s civic activities are complemented by recreational opportunities ranging from mountain biking to motorcycling, and skiing to swimming.
