Madison School District
Madison School District is the primary school district serving Rexburg and areas of Madison County. In 2013 Madison School District’s (MSD 321) enrollment was 5,127, a 20% increase since 2001. MSD 321 administers 11 schools:
- Madison High School
- Central Alternative High
- Madison Jr. High
- Madison Middle School
- Madison Online Academy
- Adams Elementary
- Burton Elementary
- Hibbard Elementary
- Kennedy Elementary
- Lincoln Elementary
- South Fork Elementary
Every 2 years, voters choose to renew a supplemental levy for the school district. This levy was renewed in August 2018. In August of 2017, the school district held a bond vote to update facilities to keep up with rapid growth. The bond passed. The bond will address the construction of 10 regular classrooms, a competition gym, and a stadium at the High School. Four new classrooms will be added at both Burton and Kennedy Elementary. Lincoln Elementary will get an enlarged new parking lot and a much larger gym, separating the gym and cafeteria. Adams Elementary will receive a cafeteria remodel and expansion. South Fork and Hibbard Elementary schools will receive expanded parking areas. A four-diamond baseball/softball complex and four full-sized outdoor soccer fields will be covered by internal funds and volunteer contributions, to reduce overall bond costs.
