Porter Park

Porter Park is Rexburg’s oldest municipal park, established in 1919. Porter Park has been the traditional gathering place for community events and is home to the Idaho Centennial Carousel (open during the summer months), the Rexburg Splash Pad, and the Beehive Federal Credit Union Pavilion. The park has a large open grass area, tennis courts, tree covered lawn, picnic shelters and children’s play grounds. 

Park Type:      Urban Park. The Urban Park type provides open space and recreational amenities for high density residential housing. The Urban Park allows for higher density living by providing public open space. 

Location:         2nd W to 3rd W and 1st S to 2nd S

Features:         Performance Stage, Splash Park, Carousel, kid’s playground, tennis courts, basketball court, walking path, and 2 shelters.  The South Shelter is the biggest shelter in the city with 17 tables.  The North Shelter has 8 tables. The Splash Park is free and open every day from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 10:00am-9:00pm.
