Information Technology
The purpose of the Information Technology department is to educate and support the employees of the City of Rexburg in the use of technology by proactively and responsively implementing, maintaining, and improving systems and solutions that will facilitate excellent service to the community.
The IT department maintains the network and server infrastructure that hosts the systems and services used by City departments. The IT Support Center provides desktop support for end-users and services printers, workstations, and mobile devices.
Information Technology also supports other systems such as building access, audio/visual systems in conference rooms, and video surveillance cameras on City properties.
Cyber Security is an important role of the Information Technology department. IT Staff diligently train users and the community about cyber threats and how to keep data safe.
