Apartment Building
Purpose
This application is for apartment buildings that consist of 3 units or more in one structure. It includes New Construction, Additions, Remodel, and Accessory Structures (shed, porch, parking lot, etc.).
New Construction - Construction of a new multi-family residential building. (3-plex or larger)
Additions - Construction of additional structures attached to a building that changes the footprint. Not considered "New Construction"
Remodel - Renovating or remodeling of an existing building, that includes structural elements or multiple disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Plumbing).
Accessory Structure - An additional structure not attached to the primary structure such as a shed, shop, storage building, detached porch, deck, and parking lots. Not considered "New Construction"
Requirements
Fill out the permit application indicating:
Number of buildings
Number of units per building
Include in "Rel Docs" of permit application the following:
A digital .pdf of Infrastructure Plans (*Submit separate document from Building Plans*)
A digital .pdf of Building Plans
A digital .pdf Lot Layout Plan (Dimensioned plan showing how the building is positioned in relationship to the lot)
Structural calculations
Energy Compliance report
Each Subcontractor needs to fill out a Contractor Work Acceptance Form
To start an online application you will need to create an account by setting up a user name and password. A confirmation email will be sent to the email you have provided. After your account has been created, proceed to fill out the appropriate application for your project.
