Commercial Building

Purpose

This application is for commercial building permits (New Construction, Addition, Remodel, Accessory Structures etc.)

  • New Construction - new commercial construction building projects (non-residential)

  • Addition - construction of an addition to an existing commercial (non-resident) structure or space

  • Remodel - renovation or remodeling of an existing commercial structure or space

  • Accessory Structure - construction of any additional structure to a commercial property, such as a shed, porch, parking lot, etc.

Requirements

For New Construction or Change of Occupancy

  • Fill out the permit application, submitting the following in the "Rel Docs" section:

    • Structural calculations- stamped by a licensed engineer

    • Energy compliance report

    • Digital plans

      • A digital .pdf of Infrastructure Plans drawn to scale (*Submit separate document from Building Plans*)

      • A digital .pdf of Building Plans - stamped by a licensed professional

      • A digital .pdf Lot Layout Plan (Dimensioned plan showing how the building is positioned in relationship to the lot)

    • Affidavit of Legal Interest signed by the owner

  • Each Subcontractor fills out a Contractor Work Acceptance Form 

  • Complete Business Registration 

To start an online application you will need to create an account by setting up a user name and password. A confirmation email will be sent to the email you have provided. After your account has been created, proceed to fill out the appropriate application for your project.
