Pickleball continues to grow in popularity, attracting many enthusiasts in Rexburg as well as nationwide. In response, Rexburg has added new courts and upgraded existing ones at both Nature and Smith Parks. Because the sport is so popular, the courts are frequently busy.

Please adhere to these guidelines to help ensure that our courts remain accessible and enjoyable for everyone into the future.

Pickleball Court Info

  • Courts are for pickleball only!

  • Hours: 6:00 AM–10:30 PM

  • Court lights are available from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM. And from 7:00 AM to 10:30 PM (if needed)

    • To access the lights...

  • City programs and scheduled events take priority over open play.

  • To schedule lessons/leagues/tournaments/etc., contact our Recreation team.

  • When all courts are full, adhere to the Open Play policy.

  • Public courts are available at

    • Nature Park (5th West & 3rd North)

    • Smith Park (E Main St, Rexburg)

Pickleball Court Rules

  • ✅ Shoes must have non-marking soles.

  • ✅ Pick up after yourself.

  • ❌ No climbing on nets or fencing.

  • ❌ No wheels or animals on the court.

  • ❌ No other sports equipment allowed.

  • ❌ No unauthorized paid instruction.

  • ❌ No profanity or glass containers.

Pickleball Open Play Policy

When all courts are full and players are waiting:

  1. One paddle per player in the next available rack.

  2. Games are played to 11 (win by 1).

  3. Announce "Open Court" and rotate after your game.

  4. The next four paddles occupy the court.

  5. 5-minute warm-up, then play.

  6. No drilling or practice while others are waiting.
