Mayor's Message:
As we welcome the beautiful month of May, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for the opportunities that lie ahead for our vibrant community. The arrival of spring brings with it a renewed sense of energy and a chance to come together to celebrate the many wonderful aspects of life in Rexburg.
This month, we have a variety of events planned that I encourage everyone to participate in. From our Upper Valley Women’s Choir concert (May 12th) to the annual “Flow-Bor Day” (Tree & Flower planting May 15th) Carousel Summer Kickoff (May 30th) to the Farmers' Market reopening, there are numerous ways to enjoy the season and support local businesses. These events are a testament to the strong community spirit that defines Rexburg, and I look forward to seeing many of you there. May is also a time to focus on our environment. As the flowers bloom and the days grow longer, let's take this opportunity to engage in activities that promote sustainability and environmental stewardship. Whether it's participating in our community clean-up on May 3rd, planting trees, picking up trash, and simply being mindful of our daily habits, every effort counts in preserving the natural beauty of Rexburg.
With the school year coming to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our students, especially the graduating class of 2025. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we are proud of your achievements. As you embark on new journeys, remember that Rexburg will always be your hometown, and we are here to support you in all your future endeavors.
Lastly, I encourage everyone to prioritize your health and well-being. Warmer weather provides the perfect opportunity to get outside, be active, and enjoy the many parks and recreational facilities our city has to offer. Let's continue to support one another in leading healthy, fulfilling lives.
Thank you for making Rexburg such a wonderful place to live. Together, we can achieve great things and create a brighter future for all.
Sincerely, Mayor Jerry Merrill

UTILITY ANNOUNCEMENT
We want to help keep our sanitation crew safe and we’re asking for your help! Please refer to our website or Facebook post to take note of the things that should NOT be in your regular trash can. Remember...trash cans are for household trash only.
The City does not read water meters from November through March. Instead an estimated read is used throughtout the winter months. This month, each customer's account will be reviewed and the sewer billing will be adjusted for the year based on your winter water usage. On your next bill, your sewer rate may go up or down depending on how much water you used during the winter.
